Dinesh Goel had a 20-year career in the Indian Civil Services where he served in the Ministries of Shipping, Surface transport, Civil Aviation, and Finance, in policy planning and administration of various commercial and economic units under these ministries. He was a Representative of the Govt of India at the International Maritime Organization for four years; was a Director on the Boards of Cochin Shipyard Ltd, Hindustan Shipyard Ltd, and Hooghly Docks & Ports Engineers Ltd. Dinesh’s long tenure in government policy planning had him working closely with leading industry associations and trade organizations like FICCI, Indian Shipbuilders Association, Solar Power Producers Association of India, etc. .
From his career in the government and private sectors, Dinesh brings rich experience turning around underperforming businesses, in capital restructuring, and incubating new businesses. He was Head of Corporate Initiatives at Larsen & Toubro, one of the largest infrastructure and manufacturing companies in India, Managing Director and CEO of Navi Mumbai SMART City Infrastructure Ltd and Karanja Infrastructure Ltd. and he led the incubation of businesses in shipbuilding, renewable energy, realty and investment parks.
Dinesh is a member of Mumbai Angels Network and is active with investment & industry associations.
Dinesh Goel received a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics & Telecommunications Engineering from Delhi College of Engineering; and has several training certifications in public administration, accounting, finance and information technology from the Indian Civil Services Academy. Early in his career he was also a scientist at the Super Computing Center in India
